Available at his home studio North of Lindale (or) His office studio in Tyler depending on schedule. Call for appointment: (903) 258-3166 About Scott: Scott has been practicing Bodywork for over five years now. He attended Sterling Health Center in Addison, Texas. There he completed 300 hours of coursework to qualify him for (LMT) license through the Texas Department of Health. Scott went on the complete coursework in Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, and Postural Analysis. Through Sterling Health Center, he also received the additional coursework needed to obtain his certification as a Neuromuscular Therapist (NMT) as well as his license as a (MTI) Massage Therapy Instructor.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a scientific therapy based on recognized physiological laws and associated principles whose goals are to achieve homeostasis (balance) between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. It combines the scientific application of properly applied pressure, gentle ranges of motion and stretches for the purpose of relieving pain, normalizing muscle tone, restoring postural balance and achieving restorative benefits for the entire system.
Scott utilizes Postural Analysis to identify key aspects of how, where, and why a client's body is out of alignment. Then specific techniques for muscle lengthening in key areas, as well as stretches, and instructional exercises can be given to continue the process. The client will definitely know more about themselves after an initial session. Scott can offer any combination of modalities to be used to assist bringing the client's body & spirit back into relaxing alignment.
Scott is also a Traditional Usui Reiki Master. Please see Reiki FAQ's and/or Reiki History. Reiki is a Universal Life Energy that anyone can be attuned to channel.Energy follows consciousness. A very simple & common example is when you bump your head and immediately rub it to make it feel better. A detailed aspect of this would be dealing with the Chakra system. Scott utilizes both physical and energetic touch to feel exactly where and what needs therapy. During a session, most clients will experience either intense warmth from Scott's hands, a tingling sensation, a deep comforting state (like a blanket of relaxation), or a combination of these. Reiki goes where ever it is needed whether that is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
Scott also often utilizes basic hypnotherapy techniques to engaged the mind so that the mind does not engage the client; allowing a deeper state of relaxation.
All of the above combine with an intuitive searching nature to give Scott a warm nurturing touch that puts the majority of his clients to ease almost immediately, no matter what their background or beliefs.
Scott & his wife, Kerri, currently host a monthly Full Moon Meditation & Pot Luck gathering at their farmhouse in the country North of Lindale, Texas where they reside on the edge of a 180 acre landscaping tree farm owned by Scott's family. Kerri is also a Usui Reiki Master as well as an ICU Nurse at ETMC in Tyler, Texas. Scott & Kerri offer joint Reiki sessions together when available.
Please see the Massage and Reiki informational links on the home page for any additional information about Scott's methods of practice. Contact Scott for additional information. He would be delighted to spend time answering any questions you may have about the services that they offer.
